Aventurine Mala (Meditation Rosary)
A mala is a Buddhist rosary -- a string of beads used to count mantra recitations or other devotional practices. Beginning with the large tasseled Buddha bead (which isn't counted), circle the mala until the Buddha bead is reached again. The next set is counted in reverse order. Stone beads are said to increase positive energy. We certainly love the cool touch of this green quarz mala as well as the exquisite variety in its emerald-green tones. Look closely at the beads and you'll see tiny flecks that catch the light.
