Set of Five Tibetan Prayer Flags
Tibetan prayer flags are said to promote good fortune and to dispel danger. In Tibet they are traditionally placed around auspicious places such as temples, stupas, mountain tops and passes, as well as above homes and fields. The flag sends messages of peace on the wind to all beings. As well as the prayers, the flags include powerful images of Snow Lions, Milarepa, Tara, etc. The five flag colors represent the five elements: Blue for Earth, White for Water, Red for Fire, Green for Air, and Yellow for Infinite Space. The colors are meant to fade gradually when hung outdoors. Because the symbols and mantras are considered sacred, please treat the flags respectfully. When disposing of old flags, please burn them. 11 inches by 13 inches.
